General Instructions:

  1. Cleaning:

    • Frequency: Clean your piercing twice a day.

    • Solution: Use a saline solution or a piercing aftercare spray.

    • Method:

      • Wash your hands thoroughly before touching your piercing.

      • Soak a clean cotton swab or gauze pad in the saline solution.

      • Gently clean around the front and back of the piercing.

      • Pat the area dry with a clean, disposable paper towel.

    • Avoid: Using alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or other harsh chemicals, they may dehydrate your piercing site and prolong healing.

  2. Handling:

    • Do not touch your piercing or jewelry unless you are cleaning it.

    • Avoid twisting, turning, or rotating the jewelry. This can cause irritation and infection.

    • Be cautious of clothing and accessories that might snag on the piercing.

    • For Nipple Piercings:

      • Wear clean, breathable clothing and avoid tight bras or tops.

      • For additional comfort, consider using a clean, non-stick pad over the piercing during the initial healing period.

    • For Navel Piercings:

      • Avoid tight waistbands and high-waisted clothing that might irritate the piercing.

      • Be cautious when exercising to avoid excessive movement and irritation.

  3. Activities:

    • Avoid: Submerging the piercing in pools, hot tubs, lakes, or oceans during the healing period.

    • Be Careful: With tight or restrictive clothing that may rub against the piercing.

    • Sleep: Try to avoid sleeping on your stomach for navel piercings or chest for nipple piercings.

  4. Jewelry:

    • Do not remove the initial jewelry until the piercing is fully healed.

    • When changing jewelry, always ensure your hands and new jewelry are clean.

    • Choose high-quality materials like surgical steel, titanium, or gold.

  5. Signs of Infection:

    • Redness, swelling, or warmth around the piercing site.

    • Yellow or green discharge with an odor.

    • Increased pain or tenderness.

    • Fever or chills.

If you experience any of these symptoms, contact a healthcare professional within 24 hours.
